But why would she owe him an explanation for why she doesn't want to get married? Their relationship is at least nominally right now purely professional. His intention to get married matters because their whole deal is about her helping him get a bride, but if we're being silly and taking their contract at face value then there's no reason her marital status or any plans of changing it matter in the slightest.
